1. About us

This website (dcfretail.co.uk) is operated by Saltash Limited, a company registered in England, trading as DCF Carpets, Beds & Flooring.

We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 814316) as a credit broker. We are not a lender; credit is provided by Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC.

References to "we", "us" and "our" in these terms mean Saltash Limited. References to "you" and "your" mean the customer.

2. Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

We reserve the right to change the content, availability, and appearance of this website at any time. We don't guarantee that pricing, specifications, or product availability shown here are always fully current — final confirmation of price and availability is given at the quote/order stage.

You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, misleading, or that interferes with other users' use of it.

3. Quotes and orders

Prices shown on this site are indicative and are not binding offers. A binding quote is issued to you in writing (email or printed document) following a site measure or direct consultation with us.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. After acceptance, we'll confirm your order, the price, the supply timeline, and any fitting arrangement.

If we discover an obvious error in a quote or on this website (e.g. a typo that puts the price dramatically below cost), we reserve the right to withdraw or correct it before you've been charged.

4. Payment and finance

Unless agreed otherwise, the full amount is due on order or as set out on your quote. We accept the payment methods listed on the quote.

If you pay using our finance option (provided by Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC), you will enter into a separate credit agreement directly with the lender. That agreement sets out your payment schedule, interest rate (if any), and all statutory rights under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (including your right to withdraw within 14 days of the credit agreement). We act only as a credit broker — not a lender — and we don't charge you a fee for this service.

5. Delivery and fitting

Delivery and fitting dates quoted are estimates. We'll do our best to meet them but can't always guarantee exact timing — especially for bespoke orders. If we are materially delayed we'll contact you to agree a revised date.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate access details to the premises where fitting takes place.
• Clearing the area to be fitted (moving furniture and fixtures unless we've agreed otherwise and quoted for it).
• Ensuring the sub-floor is in a condition suitable for fitting. Where remedial work is needed and wasn't included in the quote, we'll inform you and agree any additional cost before proceeding.

6. Your statutory rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 we must supply goods that are:

• Of satisfactory quality — free from minor defects and fit for general use.
• Fit for purpose — suitable for any particular use you made known to us before buying.
• As described — matching the description, sample, or model shown to you.

Services (including fitting) must be performed with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where the price wasn't agreed in advance.

If goods are faulty or services are not as expected, please contact us promptly so we can put things right.

7. Cancellation and returns

Orders placed at a distance (e.g. by phone or via this website): You have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The 14 days run from the day after delivery. To cancel, contact us using the details below. If the goods have already been delivered, you're responsible for returning them in an unused, resalable condition.

Bespoke or cut-to-size goods: The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to carpets, flooring, or other goods that we have cut, made, or customised to your specifications. This is a statutory exception — it doesn't affect your rights if the goods turn out to be faulty.

Fitting services: Once fitting has begun with your consent, you can no longer cancel the service. If fitting is yet to start, contact us promptly and we'll usually be able to cancel or reschedule.

8. Our liability

We take our responsibilities seriously, but our liability is limited in the following ways:

• We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that can't legally be limited.
• Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with any goods or services supplied is limited to the price you paid for them.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of opportunity.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything we've done, please contact us first — we genuinely want to put things right. Most complaints we can resolve quickly and informally.

If you're not satisfied with our response:

• For general complaints about goods or fitting: You may be able to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution service — we'll signpost the right one at the time.
• For complaints about the finance you took through us as a credit broker: You can refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months of our final response. financial-ombudsman.org.uk

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, logos, images (except supplier or stock photography clearly sourced elsewhere), and design — is the property of Saltash Limited or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our permission.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Changes won't affect any order you've already placed — the version of these terms at the time of your order will apply to it.
